The Wild West Gunfighter Competition
and Encampment hosted by the Border
Renegades at the Stagecoach Days Celebration in Banning
is a great place to take your family and friends to reenact
the old west. Daily through out the weekend you will find
excitement and laughs while watching this old west gunfighter
competition. Don't forget to walk through the encampment
to see and talk with the craftsmen while they work their
trades. Gunfighters competition will be on Saturday Afternoon
with top prize money of $300. Gunfight shows will be both
Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday costume competition will
take place with trophies only awarded to top participants.
Encampment participants will vie for best presentation with
$150 top prize. Click

Wild West Poker Run
Our first annual Wild West Motorcyle Poker Run was a success.
We had about 30 riders enjoy the cruise up to Idyllwild and
back to A.C. Dysart on Sat. , July 17th, with about another
20 walk-in participants enjoying the days festivities. Our tri-tip
b-b-q meal was donated by Don Boroff out of Huntington Beach
alomg with his associate , Terrel, and an assit from our friend
Ira Stein. Tom Carmady from Perricone Juice Co. donated drinks
for all to enjoy with their special blend of fruit juices and
plenty of water. Thanks Tom. Our live band, "CRISIS"
, headed by Jef Dean,played great music for the everyone to
enjoy in the afternoon, at no charge, thanks Jef . For a little
excitement, a short gunfight skit was performed by " Border
Renegades" members Bill and Anne Lamb. Raffle prizes were
donated by Weeble Cycles of Banning, Wright Bros. Cycles, Skip
Fordyce and Corona Harley Davidson, Quaid Harley Davidson, Bobs
biker Bits, and four businesses from Tombstone, Az. : the Four
Dueces Saloon, Big Nose Kates Saloon, Bronco Mercantile, and
the Tombstone Vigilantes. We were glad to have riders come from
as far away as Norwalk, Huntington Beach, and Apple Valley.
THANK YOU! Our 50/50 raffle winner, Cork Irwin, generously donated
his winnings back to the Stagecoach Days Committee. Trophy winners
for best poker hand are 1st place---Joe Holmes---2nd place Jessie
Triplett--3rd place Mavis Medina & a tie 3rd place tophy
was awarded later to Chad Davidson, and 4th place Jamie Medvedeff.
Our low ball trophy was awarded to Ronald Jones. Many thanks
to the riders and volunteers who helped make this poker run
a success. We raised over $800 to help towards putting on Stagecoach
Days.
